In the process of updating a serial number in the DBAmp Configuration Program, you may notice that your new key has an expiration date in 1999, or perhaps it says the key is (Expired) without giving a date at all. Despite that, please go ahead and replace it.
Older versions of DBAmp have a bug in the DBAmp Configuration Program where the program cannot recognize expiration dates in 2022 or later. The actual DBAmp driver does not have this issue and will continue to operate successfully.
We do recommend you investigate upgrading when possible! You can find the installer for the new version here: https://www.cdata.com/download/dbamp/
You can find instructions for the installation of the new version here: https://cdn.cdata.com/help/AFH/dbampd/Installation_Upgrading.html Note that you can install v22 side-by-side with the old version, allowing you to test out this new version on your usual environment while your current processes remain in place without being affected.
You can find release notes here to see what has changed with this version: https://cdn.cdata.com/help/AFH/dbampd/releasenotes.html Note: the bit datatype change has now been rolled back - there is an option with v22 to have bit datatype fields brought down as strings again!
