Help with CData SAPERP RFC parameters

Hello everybody! I’m facing the following situation when trying to execute an RFC trought CData connector for SAP ERP...In SAP, I've created an RFC to retrieve additional data for our needs, it works and have these parameters: The PT_DOCNUM has the following structure: It receives a list of documents and fiscal years to further processing as input in PT_DOCNUM. The returning data is in CT_DATA.According to this page (https://cdn.cdata.com/help/RYJ/rssis/pg_datamodel.htm) I can call the function trough EXEC statement.I’m using SSIS inside Visual Studio 2019 to achieve this step. The test flow is as follows (Using the CData Source component): The first attempt was to fill the DOCS#TEMP table and execute the RFC in the same call: When I execute the above, the RFC is called but no parameter is received on the function (PT_DOCNUM headerline and table are both empty): The second approach, If I use the static JSON command to pass the values it works, for example: Data is retrieved with a bott

PDF Label Connector incorrectly returns data from xml (multi-line function not working)

Hello,A PDF file was made from the XLSX document. Then I created a PDF template with form fields (Adobe Acrobat), using the “Text field” function Multi-line. By filling in the form manually, the text in the field moves to a new line, but the text taken from the XML doesn't move to a new line. Why the Multi-line functionality doesn't work in CData Arc?

Compare two XML files

HiI would like to compare two XML files for differences.Here’s my use case.I create an order via an API and can get the entire order back in the response.I will store that order in a database table.Later, I will poll the API again and fetch the latest details of that order.I can do a quick check for overall changes using a hash, but I will need to know what changes if they latest and stored order differ. thanks in advance

Attaching File to Email Send using template message type

In my main application, I started using Arc to send automated emails by writing a simple XML file to a folder that Arc monitors.  I have a case where I am mapping the XML to an Email Send connector (using template mode) and I need to attach a PDF to the message (which was already uploaded to the server).I have the path to the file saved in SQL and I can add the path to my XML file.  My question is, how can I configure the Email Send connector to “attached” the file (assuming the path is a node in my XML)?  Right now, all I can do is reformat the path into an http link and add it to the body. Thanks

div() or divide() with Xpath denominators

Is is possible to pass values retrieved using xpath() into the div([value]) or divide([value]) Math formatters? I want to do something like this in an XML Map connector [xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalKilos)  | div(xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalFull)| add(xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalHalf)) | add(xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalOversize))))]!--endfragment>!--startfragment>  which in pseudo code is    Weight = Total Kilos / (Full + Half + Oversize) Things like “….| div(2)” work, but I can’t seem to get it to work with values from other parts of the message. Even simplifying to [xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalKilos) | divide(xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalHalf))]gets the same error:Formatter divide failed in the evaluation of <weight>[xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalKilos) | divide(xpath(ConsignmentNode/DefinitionOfGoods/TotalHalf))]</weight>. Task data source settings grayed out in the Sync version 23.4.8843.0

I’ve updated our test environment to latest version 23.4.8843.0 and I noticed that when I try to configure data source settings, I can’t and I get information “Settings are not editable”. Same issue with new tasks and previously created tasks. I can however make settings directly to query-tab and it will work ok. Our production environment is version 23.3.8700.0 and that issue is not there. Data source which I’m using is ElasticSearch

How to set Additional Job Options via API Call

We are currently using cdata version .NET Edition - 23.3.8700.0 in our organization and we create jobs through API call. Through API call we are able to create the JOB fine, but we are unable to set StoresUppercaseIdentifiers=true Additional Options property.Any help on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Building Dynamic Queries in the Expression Builder – The data types "DT_WSTR" and "DT_I4" are incompatible for binary operator "+".

The issue arises when trying to Evaluate an expression that contains a normal SQL Query and attempting to use a UserDefined Variable in the Expressions that have a data type other than WSTR (string). The error tells us that it cannot concatenate the two expressions together due to the mismatch in data types.    To overcome this, you will need to cast the said datatype into a string for the expressions to be evaluated correctly. You can do so by changing the query and putting (DT_WSTR,50)  before the variable: @[User::Variable1]   Another way is to change the way this variable is evaluated. In Variable Properties, change EvaluateAsExpression to True and then below it you can control how this expression will be evaluated - (DT_WSTR,50) @[User::Variable1]This workaround works for any data types other than string.

System error: No such host is known when attempting to connect to a named instance of SQL Server (SERVERNAME\INSTANCE)

When creating a new SQL Server connection in CData Arc and setting the Server to the named instance form SERVERNAME\INSTANCE, an error is encountered:   Cause: CData Arc will attempt to resolve the Server value into an IP address or domain name to connect to, and the DNS server will be unable to resolve this value into a network name.  Server names in the SERVERNAME\INSTANCE format are named instances of SQL Server, where INSTANCE refers to one of multiple instance on the SERVERNAME host. CData Arc does not support discovery of the instance by name, and instead, the SERVERNAME alone should be provided, and the Port set to the server port of the named instance (please contact your SQL Server administrator to determine this if it is not known).

Generating log files on Azure Application Services

In this knowledge-base article, we will delve into the process of generating logs for an application that utilizes the CData ADO.NET connector and is hosted on Azure App Services.   After developing our ASP.NET Core application, we build the project and publish it to Azure. To access the driver’s logs, we must use the path D:/home/LogFiles/file.txt. This method of generating Stream diagnostic logs has been documented by Microsoft, and the steps to accomplish this are outlined below:  For this article, I am using the CData ADO.NET Provider for Databricks.    Initially, navigate to the Startup.cs class where the connection string is stored. In the Logfile property append the path D:/home/LogFiles/<file_name>.txt and set the preferred verbosity level.    After these modifications, we need to build our project again and republish it on Azure Application Services to reflect the changes we just made.  The subsequent step involves accessing the Azure Portal and navigating to the Web App

CDC in Cdata Sync creates new record in Destination Table for a record update in Source table

[META|Schema] Skip the drop column operation for column [_cdatasync_deleted]. Can anyone help me understand this issue please. As in the destination table there is a column  _cdatasync_deleted which is being set to null for this new row inserted(Which was supposed to be a UPDATE instead of INSERT in first place)

CData SQL Gateway: Problem to start multiple services on the SQL Gateway

Hi Tech Support,I am currently testing your ODBC Connector to Business Central. I managed to connect to Business Central. What I noticed was that the connection was returning all the different divisions that we have on the server. We use the connector to link an SQL Server (as a linked server) but it created a problem. We have multiple tables with the same name which I think it is normal all the different divisions have exactly the same structure tables and field names.So I decided to create multiple ODBC connections, each of them pointing at a different division (on the company field of the connector). This filtered out perfectly the different divisions.The problem is that on the “CData SQL Gateway” I can only start the connection with one of them (that happens to have the default name of “CData D365BusinessCentral Sys”) They are configured exactly the same, using different ports but pointing at different divisions (Company).On the users tab I use also exactly the same user.When I hit
