Hello everyone,

I am experiencing several challenges with data backup solutions, specifically related to the CDATA. Recently, I have encountered issues where backups using CDATA are not completing successfully. This has raised concerns about the reliability of the backup process, as it's crucial for maintaining data integrity and security.

Additionally, I've noticed inconsistencies during data recovery attempts with CDATA. In some cases, the restored data does not match the original files, leading to potential data loss and confusion. This situation is particularly concerning for our operational workflows, as reliable backups are essential for our day-to-day activities.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with CDATA? If so, what steps have you taken to resolve these problems? Any troubleshooting tips or best practices for ensuring successful backups and accurate data recovery with CDATA would be immensely helpful.

 Thank you for your insights!

Hi David,

Can you please let us know the concerns you have with the CData Arc or with any other CData product?

These are the information that you have documented on our help for the Backup and migration at and I’m providing documentation link for your reference: CData Arc - Backup or Migrate CData Arc | Version 24.2.9039

When you do a data backup (of your entire application data directory), this contains the entire information about all the connectors and the application, this data directory can be used to store the application and the connector information along with the data. If you do a backup of your application data directory, which means you will have entire data that your application store and configured.

Can you please let us know how you are doing backup and include what are the issues that you are facing and share with us by creating with our support team at [email protected]?
