Hi Everyone,I have a scenario to use Azure Managed SQL Instances and these are not supported for DBAmp because they do not allow the installation of 3rd-party linked servers on the Instance. So I am trying to install dbamp remotely - DBAmp - Running DBAmp Remotely (cdata.com)Client have created 2 servers one where data will be stored - dbSeverTwo where dbamp will be configured as linked server - dbampServerData Scenario - Data will be storing in Ddrive so I am using SSIS to push the data into SQL server I have created package and deploying that package to both dbserver and dbamp ServerSo my question is in the article it says to create remote database “Salesforce Backups” in remote server instance to hold the salesforce data but can’t we store the same data in dbamp server? Is there any security concern or limitation if we store Salesforce data in dbamp server?
Hi,We have a client who is interested in using the new Salesforce custom address fields. (https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.fields_caf_requirements.htm&type=5) . Because it looks like data can only be imported using Bulk Api 2.0 does anyone know if DBAmp can support import into these new fields? Thanks!Eve
My DBAMP version is 22.0.8354.0I have DMAMP installed on a non OS Drive. M:\Program Files\Cdata\CData DBAmpTrying to upgrade the license using the Config Utility. Help → Licensing ->Update LicenseGetting following error. The keys.reg file does not exist on my installation. Work Around Create the folder + File the error was complaining about. It can be an empty text file.“c:\CData\CData DBAmp\keys.reg”Re-Run the Update License command and seems to work fine now. Question Is this fixed in a later version of dbamp? I am aware I dont have the most recent “patch”.
We upgraded DBAMp version on our SQL Server.Followed the instructions and created a new Linked Server. Stored procedures are running fine, but when I execute a SOQL query; we get the following error An invalid schema or catalog was specified for the provider "MSOLEDBSQL" for linked server "SalesForce". Example SOQL queriesSelect * from SalesForce...user__cSelect * from SalesForce...Account

We upgraded to DBAmp V22 version. Hi, We are migrating to new SQL 2022 servers. I have installed v2022 of DBAmp on our new dev server, we use SF_Replication/SF_Refresh, changing to SF_Mirror is not yet on the table. My default server collation is Latin1_General_CI_AS, and the DBAmp replicant also becomes this collation. This is the exact same setup we run in production, with version 220.127.116.11 of dbamp. Both environments, current prod and new dev have “Collation Compatible” and “Use Remote Collation” set to true.I have run a full SF_Replicate, and when i start to run the daily SF_Refresh i am getting the below error:--- Starting SF_Refresh for Contact V830416:12:31: Using Schema Error Action of subsetdelete16:12:37: Local table created at: 2023-05-17 16:29:0016:12:37: Using last run time of 2023-05-17 16:29:00Msg 468, Level 16, State 9, Line 1Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" and "Latin1_General_CI_AS" in the equal to operation.--- Ending SF_Refresh. There are a host of errors, mostly “Error occurred creating primary key for table.” in tables AppDefinition, AuraDefinitionBundleInfo, AuraDefinitionInfo, FormulaFunction, FormulaFunctionAllowedType, FormulaFunctionAllowedType and other. but also “Using FullCopy because the FieldChangeSnapshot table does not exist.”threw a SOAP error: Error System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: EXTERNAL_OBJECT_UNSUPPORTED_EXCEPTION: Enter a valid ParentID. at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object parameters) at DBAmpAZ.sforce.SforceService.query(String queryString) at afo220l.Uh.w() Should I wipe out all the tables and start again? Is there a patch / hotfix official release schedule for DBAMP? There must be some fixes since the official V2022 release. I did get some Hotfix patches but was wondering if I am to expect an official 2023 or 2022.1 release. I currently have to restart the windows service each night to prevent crashes.
Whenever I try to use the bulkapi, or pkchunk, or even just use SF_Mirror on a large table, it says that SF_Mirror fails. The message output looks like this:--- Starting SF_Mirror for Account V830410:53:19: Parameters: salesforce2022 Account bulkapi Version: V830410:53:19: DBAmpAZ 22.0.8304.0 Copyright c 2021 CData Software, Inc.10:53:19: Using options specified in Options parameter: bulkapi10:53:19: Obtaining Connection Props10:53:28: Obtaining User Information10:53:31: Using settings from Registry.10:53:33: Error: DBAmpWork directory does not exist.10:53:33: DBAmpAZ Operation FAILED.10:53:33: Error: MirrorCopy program was unsuccessful.10:53:33: Error: Command string is C:\"Program Files"\CData\"CData DBAmp"\bin\DBAmpAZ.exe MirrorCopy "Account" "DL-7KVJRL3" "salesforce_backups2022" "salesforce2022" "bulkapi"--- Ending SF_Mirror. When I run SF_Replicate on my tables with lots of fields, like Account and Case, it fails. SF_Mirror also fails, and I can’t run SF_Refresh because there’s been a field added so it just tries to run SF_Replicate anyway. The message output looks like this:--- Starting SF_Replicate for Account V5.1.812:58:41: Parameters: Salesforce Account Version: V5.1.812:58:41: DBAmpAZ 18.104.22.168 Copyright c 2021 CData Software, Inc.12:58:41: Using options specified in Options parameter: soap12:58:42: Using settings from Registry.12:58:42: Using FullCopy to replicate the Account table.12:58:42: Server: DL-7KVJRL3, Database: olddbamp, Linked Server: Salesforce12:58:42: Using the Salesforce SOAP API.12:58:43: Opening SQL Server rowset12:58:43: Error: Commit failed.Source: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0Description: The statement has been terminated.Source: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0Description: Cannot create a row of size 8107 which is greater than the allowable maximum row size of 80
Salesforce added a couple new fields to the Contact and Lead objects, GenderIdentity and Pronouns. I can find them in Data Loader and in Workbench, but DBAmp is not bringing them down. How do I get DBAmp to find those new fields? I have DBAmp v22, if that makes a difference.
I upgraded to v22, and followed the instructions to set up a new linked server. Querying it works fine, but I can’t use the stored procedures. I get something like this every time:--- Starting SF_Replicate for account V5.1.811:34:36: Parameters: salesforce2022 account Version: V5.1.811:34:36: DBAmpAZ 22.214.171.124 Copyright c 2021 CData Software, Inc.11:34:36: Using options specified in Options parameter: soap11:34:40: Retrying11:34:40: Retrying11:34:40: Retrying11:34:40: Error: Unable to retrieve settings from Registry.11:34:40: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): The OLE DB provider "MSOLEDBSQL" for linked server "salesforce2022" does not contain the table "sys_sfsession". When I went through the directions here, https://cdn.cdata.com/help/AFH/dbampd/Installation_Upgrading.html it says to create a database for the stored procedures called salesforce backups. That doesn’t fit our naming conventions - is there a way around that?
Whenever I try to do anything with the linked server, I either get an error about the OLE DB provider returning a message that the “Login timeout expired” or “TCP Provider: The wait operation timed out.” Sometimes it also says "A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible.” I can’t do anything with DBAmp, how do I fix this?
