Access Excel Data from Subfolders of a Root Resource Directory

Recently, a new subfolder file access feature was released for the CData Microsoft Excel drivers, enabling seamless retrieval of Excel files stored in subdirectories of a root resource folder. Key parameters include:IncludeSubdirectories – Enables scanning of subfolders within the root folder to locate Excel files. DirectoryRetrievalDepth – Defines how deep the scan goes within subdirectories. Use -1 to scan all subfolders within the root directory. CData for MongoDB JDBC error Authentication failed

I’ve downloaded JDBC driver for MongoDB but when using it with the correct username password, it throws the error:Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: Failed to authenticate database 'testdb', Error code: [18] - "Authentication failed."..  Class.forName("cdata.jdbc.mongodb.MongoDBDriver"); Properties prop = new Properties(); prop.setProperty("Server","127.0.0.1"); prop.setProperty("Port","27017"); prop.setProperty("Database","testdb"); prop.setProperty("User","useradmin"); prop.setProperty("Password","welcome!"); Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mongodb:", prop); Statement stat = conn.createStatement(); boolean ret = stat.execute("SELECT name FROM users"); It throws error on the last line. These username password are correct and can be used in mongosh inside mongo server container

CData Connectors Support the LAG() Window Function

CData Drivers, Connectors, and other solutions now include the LAG() window function in the library of supported SQL functions. This capability unlocks the ability to compare and calculate the change in values over a sequence of data. This support is across all data sources. Where possible, CData solutions will push the LAG request down to the data source, otherwise the function will be resolved in memory after the initial data is retrived.Example Query Using the LAG() FunctionThe example below uses the Data Explorer in CData Connect Cloud with a Salesforce connection, but the principals apply to any CData solution across all data sources.The query below calculates the sum of all expected revenue for all opportunities, grouped by month of the opportunity and the associated customer account in Salesforce. Set default date filters for GA4 views in Google Analytics Connectors

The 2024.1 Update for CData Drivers and Connectors include additional connection properties for our Google Analytics connectors to set default start and end dates for GA4 reports.Connection PropertiesDefaultStartDate: A default start date to be applied to all queries for the given connection. This property will be overridden if a start date is set in a query. DefaultEndDate: A default end date to be applied to all queries for the given connection. This property will be overridden if an end date is set in a query.Add these properties to your connection string or connection wizard to set start and end dates for GA4 reports queried using CData’s connectors!

CDATA Snowflake Unpivot

SSIS component - error on Microsoft.DataWarehouse assembly

 TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio------------------------------Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.DataWarehouse, Version=17.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specifiedIt appears after installing the SSIS component for monday 2024 (Build 24.0.9111)Running VS 2019 and the target SQL Server is 2022 Previously i was running monday 2023 (Build 23.0.8839) without this error. Had another error unrelated to this and the reason why I tried to upgrade.I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the old version again but the error remains

Cdata connecting SharePoint files to PBI

Hi, i am using cdata for PBI Excel Online to connect my SharePoint files to PowerBI. My SharePoint folder contains secondary folders with multiple documents as well as my main excel. Is there a way to bring the names of the secondary folders into my dataset as well? It's referred to as “Folder Path” when I connect my PBI directly to SharePoint via SharePoint.Files.

Missing Transactions in Power BI Data Model with QuickBooks Online Connector

I created a Power BI data model using the QuickBooks Online connector and successfully built some basic reports. However, I noticed that certain transactions are missing from the data. I queried all available tables but couldn’t locate these transactions. Interestingly, when I used the 'TransactionsList' stored procedure, I was able to retrieve all transactions, including the missing ones.I suspect that some transaction types, such as Payroll Checks, may not be accessible through the CData connector or Intuit Accounting API. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a known limitation or a workaround to include these transaction types in the data model?

Is it possible to copy selective data from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA using the CDATA JDBC Driver?

I need to copy specific data from the SAP ECC 6.0 tables listed below and paste it into the matching SAP S/4 HANA tables. ADMI_FILES ADMI_RUN  ADMI_STATS ADMI_VARIAI attempted to copy the data manually, and it worked. However, could you please advise if CData JDBC Driver could be used to accomplish this?

Issues Connecting to SQL Server with CData ADO.NET Provider - Need Help with Authentication Setup!

Hello everyone,,I am working on setting up a connection between my SQL Server database and a C# application using the CData ADO.NET provider for SQL Server but I am running into some authentication issues. I would like to use Windows Authentication but it doesn’t seem to be working as expected: I have double checked the connection string settings and ensured that "Integrated Security" is set to true. However,,, I keep getting an error related to login credentials.Has anyone here dealt with similar authentication issues using CData’s ADO.NET provider: ?? Also, if there’s a workaround to ensure the connection uses the current user’s Windows credentials,,, I would really appreciate any guidance. Dataverse ODBC Driver - How to select dynamic fields

Hi, I’m confused on how to select the dynamic fields. When I look in the driver ui, I can see the dynamic fields like “createdbyname” which are populated based on the values in “createdby” - but if I try to query using `select createdbyname from account` I get an error: “Query failed: [0x80060888] Could not find a property named ‘createdbyname’ on type ‘Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.account’” Is there something special I need to do to be able to do this? In TSQL with ssms I can select these fields without issue. Reading through the docs, I don’t see a driver setting that seems like it would enable this feature. Can anyone tell me what I’m missing?

Dremio - Cdata cosmos mongodb Data Read

Hi Community, I have installed Cdata cosmos mongodb driver for a poc and i am able to connect Azure Cosmos Mongo db. In jdbc ui inferface and in data model tab i am able to see the collections along with data. but when i try to query the same from dremio i get error "unknown operator: $readPreference”. can someone help me on this issue?  RegardsAmit

Using Dataverse ODBC - how to query choicelabels?

Using the ODBC driver, I am trying to query ChoiceLabels - this simple query works in SSMS but not using the ODBC driver in my reporting application: select * from choicelabels The odbc driver returns:A table could not be found that matches choicelabels.Is there something else I need to do to query this table? I need to join it against an entity table in order to decode the choice value.

Encountering "The catalog needs to be specified in the TABLE or VIEW property" error when querying an Oracle connection

When specifying the name of a table in the Tables connection property (or the name of a view in the Views property), you may receive the following error when querying a table in your Oracle connection (even if the connection was successfully tested):The catalog needs to be specified in the TABLE or VIEW property.However, Oracle does not make use of catalogs. With this in mind, what should be done to work around the error?

Hi All,I am trying to connect my dynamics GP web services through python but I am unable to do so. I was working out the basic code given on their website and still unable to work it out.
