The error "Invalid XML: extra characters in comment declaration" occurs when the response received by our driver doesn't correctly implement OKTA authentication. This means that the driver doesn't receive the SAML Response, which is crucial for the OKTA Verify process, enabling the driver to redirect to the Sage Intacct login page.

To resolve this issue, you can follow these steps:

  1. Access your OKTA user interface.

  1. Navigate to the "Applications" section.

  1. Choose your application, typically named Sage Intacct.

  1. Go to the "Sign On" settings.

  1. Scroll down until you find the "User authentication" section.

  1. Click on "Edit."

  1. Then, select "Okta Dashboard."

Then we can re-test the connection and everything should work as expected.

Please reach out to support@cdata.com if this does not resolve the problem for you.
