Occasionally, on a fresh install of one of the many CData Excel Add-ins, you will see the below error: 

 

 

This error means that either a system IT policy, or antivirus software has blocked a portion of the Excel Add-in from functioning, and the Add-in will be unable to do key processes such as launching the OAuth flow. 

 

The fix is simple, but will require a System or IT Administrator who can make changes to the IT or Antivirus policy. To allow the Add-In to function, you will need to ensure that CMD.EXE, specifically at either the path C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe or the path  C:/Windows/SysWOW64/cmd.exe, is removed from the list of threats and not blocked by antivirus software and the firewall.
