New in Connect Cloud: Connect your business data to AI

Hi everyone,

We’re very excited to share a powerful new update in Connect Cloud: Remote MCP for AI is now live and ready for you to try to work with connected business data in your favorite AI assistants, turning them into personal, connected data analysts.

If you already have data connected in Connect Cloud, you’re just a few steps away from enabling AI to query, analyze, and interact with that data in real time, directly from your browser.

In my personal experience using the integration, it has been unbelievable what AI is able to do when its connected to your data. I use it every day now. And if you’re already a Connect Cloud user, setup in Claude should only take a few minutes.

What’s new?

Remote MCP is a cloud-hosted enhancement to our existing MCP Servers. It lets AI securely access your connected sources—like Salesforce, NetSuite, Hubspot, spreadsheets, and more—without staging data or setting up anything locally.

You can now:

• Ask Claude to analyze your data live, with full respect for existing source permissions

• Explore and select data you want to share with AI within Connect Cloud

• Try AI-assisted insights, reports, and actions—using the data you already have connected

Just add the CData connector, copy the MCP link from Connect Cloud, and paste it into AI’s tool settings. That’s it—you’re ready to prompt with your own real-time data as context for AI.

We’ve put together a quick setup guide here:

Start trying out prompts and see how connected AI can help in your daily work. Looking for ideas? Check out our AI prompt library: https://www.cdata.com/solutions/mcp/prompt-library/

Have feedback or questions? We’d love to hear what you think—and what you’d like to see next. Post below or contact us directly.

P.S. We’re working on more integrations to more LLMs —stay tuned!
