The 'DriverPath' option is not a valid JAR file

Hi,

I’m trying out the parquet server using the trial/beta JDBC.

When trying to run the server as described here:

I hit an error with my `driverPath` configuration in the .prp file:

`The ‘DriverPath’ option is not a valid JAR file`

  • The path, on Windows, contains a space in it so I also tried enclosing in quotes, but received the same error.
  • `java -jar PATH\TO\cdata.jdbc.parquet.jar` launches the config tool fine

Hi Ben,

I think you’ll need to either escape the backslashes:

C:\\MCP\\cdata.jdbc.salesforce.jar

Or use slashes in the path:

C:/Program Files/CData/CData JDBC Driver for Jira 2024/lib/cdata.jdbc.jira.jar

Can you try either of these options to see if they work?

Hi Jerod,

Either of those works. Thank you very much!

Ben

Turns out the value for `JdbcUrl` also needs escaped backslashes, which aren’t included in the output generated by cdata.jdbc.parquet.jar.

All working now, and it’s very impressive! (using Copilot in VSCode with Claude Sonnet 4)
