Hello CData Community,

I need some help troubleshooting issues I’m facing with setting up the CData ODBC Driver on my AMD 2 in 1 laptop. I’m hoping someone here might be able to assist.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  • Installed the CData ODBC Driver successfully without any errors.
  • Configured a DSN using the ODBC Data Source Administrator and entered the necessary details for connecting to my data source.
  • The connection test within the ODBC configuration returns successful, but when I attempt to connect through certain applications, the data source is either missing or cannot be accessed.

Challenges I’m Facing:

  • Data Source Visibility: Despite successfully configuring the DSN, it doesn’t show up in applications like Excel or custom software that uses ODBC connections.
  • Connection Issues: Occasionally, the connection fails to establish, or the application throws an error related to the data source.

What I’ve Already Tried:

  • I’ve checked network settings and ensured that there are no firewall issues blocking the connection.
  • I’ve also tried reconfiguring the DSN and ensuring that all authentication credentials are correct.
  • Restarted both my laptop and the software I’m trying to connect with, but the problem persists.

Questions for the Community:

  1. Does anyone have experience configuring this driver on an AMD 2-in-1 laptop? Any specific configurations or tips that could help?
  2. What steps can I take to troubleshoot why the DSN doesn’t show up in applications?
  3. Are there any known solutions for intermittent connection failures or performance issues with this driver?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Let me know if I can provide any further details to help with troubleshooting.

Thanks in advance,
