A new year brings new capabilities! We’re excited to kick off 2026 with one of our largest CData Sync releases yet, this Q1 roll out is packed with enhancements designed to give you more flexibility, control, and power across your data pipelines.
Here’s what’s new in Sync Q1 2026:
❄️ Apache Iceberg Destination Support
CData Sync now supports the Iceberg file format and catalog, enabling modern lakehouse architectures with open, reliable table formats. Iceberg destinations are now available for:
-
Amazon S3
-
Azure Blob Storage
-
Azure Data Lake Storage
-
Google Cloud Storage
🚦 Visual Pipelines in the UI
We’re excited to preview Pipelines, an upcoming point-and-click UI experience for managing job and event dependencies in Sync. Pipelines will make it easier than ever to orchestrate and visualize Sync workflows.
🔄 CDC Catalog Enhancements: SAP HANA
We’ve expanded our CDC catalog with Enhanced CDC (ECDC) support for SAP HANA, making it easier to capture and replicate changes from one of the most widely used enterprise systems.
🧩 Transformation Library Enhancements
The Transformation Library now includes hashbytes support for primary keys, allowing for improved data consistency and transformation workflows, all through a simple point-and-click experience.
↔ Sync API 2.0
Sync now has a redesigned API built for consistency, extensibility, and automation. As Sync environments grow, teams increasingly want programmatic ways to manage configuration, trigger execution, and integrate Sync into broader platform workflows.
␡Deletes in Reverse ETL Workflows
Sync now supports delete operations in reverse ETL workflows, allowing teams to remove records from downstream systems when source data is deleted or no longer meets defined criteria.
🚧 Coming Soon: Multi-Threaded Tables
We know large cumbersome tables are some of our customer’s biggest pain points. They are almost impossible to query, transform, and move. Our multi-threaded tables feature will not break up your largest and most important tables into the destination of your choosing.
🐍 Coming Soon: Python for Sync Events
Sync events will soon be powered by Python, giving you greater flexibility to customize logic, automate workflows, and integrate Sync more deeply into your data operations.
